Santorini

How to get to Santorini in time for the big day?

As this is fairly small island we have two options – plane or ferry.

Santorini is a very popular travel destination so all tickets need to be booked early or we may not be able to get to the island on time. We would prefer not to think about consequences of not being able to book the flights – that would be far too stressful.

There is only one airport on the Island of Santorini, Thira and therefore there are only few options available:

1.If you would like to fly direct to Santorini then your choice is very limited:
• ThomasCook – flights from Gatwick
• Easy Jet – flights from Gatwick
• Norwegian Air – flights from Gatwick (On Saturdays)
This is our preferred way of travelling to Santorini, however flights will not be released until September/October 2013.

2. If you don’t mind taking connecting flights then you will have a slightly wider choice:
• There are regular flights to Santorini from Athens with Olympic Air, Aegean Airlines and AirSea Lines (the flight takes about 30 minutes).
• You can fly directly to Athens with EasyJet from Gatwick and Aegeanair from Stanstead.

3. You can always choose a third option and:
• fly with EasyJet to Athens and then take a ferry to Santorini
• fly with EasyJet to Mykonos and then take a ferry to Santorini
• fly with EasyJet to Heraklion and then take a ferry to Santorini
